Why You Need a Ghostwriter

I mean, why do you need a gardener? A cleaning service? A tax preparer? Now, these aren’t revolutionary jobs. I am not saying you can go out and be a doctor. But for these jobs, they are something you could do yourself. If you’re not, it’s either (a) you don’t want to (b) you don’t have time to do it or ( c) someone could do it a lot better than you. Or maybe you have your own reason. I don’t really care. The point is, if you are here, you are probably thinking about why you need a ghostwriter. Also, how much better does that lawn look when you’re inside sipping your tea? Pretty damn good.

Here’s the honest to goose truth about ghostwriting. I will write things for my clients and reread them weeks later and not be able to tell I wrote it. It sounds THAT much my client’s voice. Now, while it helps if my client and I have interests cue Harry Potter reruns, ACOTAR reading groups, Grey’s Anatomy dance parties, it is not necessary. My client list includes business coaches, photographers, real estate agents, fitness coaches, and once a crocheter, that’s a story for another time. There are a few things all of these people had in common, and it’s not their love for Rhysand. They are small, passionate businesses, who absolutely destroy at their craft. I am attracted to excellence, what can I say?

Why AI doesn’t work

I looooooove when people come to me with their set of AI blogs. I can spot those quicker that Kim K can spot a fake Birkin bag. It sounds fancy, sure! Professional, uh huh. A ton of extra words that don’t actually enhance what you’re saying? BINGO! AI is fake. It sounds fake. It also says a lot of nothing. Let’s use an example from my last blog about Fitness Coach Claire. Claire loves tulips and specializes in helping people with osteoarthritis to lose weight and enjoy life pain free. Here’s what AI has to say about that:

Now, here is what Alyssas Page has to say as Claire:

I finished a coaching call with an incredible client today! He shared how the pain he has been feeling has really kept him from doing the things he loved – like playing baseball with his 10 year old grandson. Learning about his goals outside of just weight loss really allowed me to pinpoint the areas we need to work on together. This let me know that his mobility goals go further than walking pain free but needing to actively engage his muscles to keep up! My client takes an interest in gardening so the activity plan I set out for him is going to be starting small in his own garden at home and building up muscle. A big proponent to osteoarthritis is to avoid high impact activities. Henry Ford Health states, “Routine gardening activities, such as raking, weeding and trimming, engage multiple muscle groups at once, improving your overall fitness level.” If you also feel like your osteoarthritis is affecting your life on multiple fronts, let’s see how I can help you.

Why you need a ghostwriter- not only does my version sound like a real person (because it is), it’s also more engaging, uses links to external and internal websites to boost SEO, and provides a call to action. You can use AI for all the blogs you want, but if they aren’t interesting to read and don’t have the SEO integration to get them seen, it’s a waste of time.
